Full Beam strives:
Mixing live performance with unusual puppets, inventive design and evocative music, the work ranges from commissioned plays and devised productions to adaptations of classic texts.
This combination of different theatrical media including puppetry, mask and mime underpins Full Beam Visual Theatre’s claim to be one of the most innovative theatre companies in the South West.
Full Beam Visual Theatre are Lizzie Philps (Artistic Director), Rachel McNally (Producer), Katie Keeler (Chair of the Board). Lizzie is a founding member of Full Beam. She read Drama at the University of Exeter and has extensive experience in puppetry and prop making, having worked for the BBC, Aardman Animations and devised, directed for all Full Beam shows. She is also a course leader in performing arts at Filton College in Bristol. Rachel read Classics at the University of Bristol and has worked with a number of different organisations including The South West Film Commission and The Countryside Agency. She has worked as general manager and producer on all Full Beam’s shows, she also gives talks to students about all aspects of managing a small scale touring theatre company. Katie Keeler is another founding member of Full Beam. She has worked for the British Council and Volcano Theatre. She is currently a Creative Producer at Theatre Bristol.
